Description

From Which Medical Device

The Solapur Condylar Screw is a compression screw developed in India by Dr Shivashankar, Orthopaedic Surgeon as a modification of an ASNIS type of screw. The design of the screw allows compression from both sides with a washer, for example when fixing a tibial plateau fracture. The screw is inserted over a 2mm guide wire.

The POGO screw is a similar device available in North America, but which contains a spring for continual compression.
