From Which Medical Device

The Lifebox pulse oximeter is a low cost device provided by the Lifebox charity. The aim of the charity is to improve the safety and quality of surgical care in low-resource countries by providing access to pulse oximetry. This machine meets the specification criteria of the World Health Organisation by being robust, powered by mains electricity or rechargeable batteries, and displaying an audible alarm and visible waveforms. It is low cost (around £160/$250) and has a low-cost replaceable probe (around £16/$25).
