From Which Medical Device

The Mynx Vascular Closure Device is an extravascular sealing device designed to facilitate hemostasis without sutures or implants. The device is available in 5F and 6F/7F sizes and can be deployed through the existing procedural sheath. It is similar to the Cordis Exoseal in that it can be used through the procedural sheath and places an extravascular 'plug' in the tract. The Mynx has a small balloon to locate the inside wall ofthe vessel whereas the Exoseal uses a small loop of soft wire.
