The Dynamic Hip Screw from Depuy Synthes is intended for the fixation of proximal femoral fractures. It is indicated for per-trochanteric, lateral femoral neck fractures and some subtrochanteric fractures. Usually it is implanted after closed reduction on a fracture table under image intensification.
