The Eclipse soft tissue anchor from Medshape is a soft tissue fixation device manufactured from PEEK Altera (polyether ether ketone), which is Medshape's proprietary shape-memory PEEK. The benefit of this fixation device when compared with others is that it provides non-rotational fixation into bone for procedures including tendodesis, ankle ligament reconstruction and MCL/LCL reconstruction. The device is inserted in a closed position, then opened using an introducer to provide fixation.
