Description

From Which Medical Device

The GORE VIATORR TIPS Endoprosthesis is designed for Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS) in de novo and revision procedures. The proprietary, reduced permeability ePTFE graft lining is intended to minimise transmural permeation of bile and mucin tissue ingrowth into the graft for ease of surgical dissection during liver transplantation. This device is designed to ensure secure anchoring with minimal kinking and tissue deformation, and the unlined "chain link" segment of the device allows for nutrient portal perfusion.
