Description

From Which Medical Device

The Scorpio Single Axis Knee Replacement System from Stryker is a single radius design, the intention of which is to address mid-flexion instability after surgery. It is available with X3 polyethylene inserts, and in cruciate retaining and cruciate substituting designs. The associated revision system is known as the Scorpio TS Total Knee Revision System.

Revision rates for the Scorpio primary knee in the 9th NJR report were 2.42% at 5 years.

The Scorpio NRG system has a spherical geometry in the coronal plane, to improve rotation during flexion.
