Description

From Which Medical Device

Tritanium (R) from Stryker is a reticulated porous titanium coating for titanium alloy components. Frenkel et al report a porosity of 65-70% compared with titanium (30-35%) and cobalt chrome beads (35-40%), and excellent bone ingrowth in animal studies.

Tritanium was also a fictional material used for construction in Star Trek
