Intraoperative ultrasound can prove very useful to guide the resection of small renal tumours. This video shows the Zonare ultrasound machine being used for such a case. An alternative treatment may well be percutaneous tumour ablation with RF , microwave or cyroablation. This short video shows the percutaneous technique for removal of a stuck Foley catheter. Catheter balloons can sometimes not be deflated due to a faulty valve or less likely crystallisation within the balloon. There are several methods to remove them: 1. Cut the valve off 2. Pass a guide wire along the balloon channel to puncture the balloon 3. Puncture the balloon under ultrasound guidance with a fine needle, as shown in this video.
