Description

From Which Medical Device

The Allofit/Allofit-S Cup System from Zimmer is an acetabular component which is hemispherical, but with a flattened pole geometry. The shell is titanium (Protasul-Ti) with an excellent macro-structure for locking into subchondral bone.

Neutral and 10 degree hooded polyethylene inserts, metasul and cerasul inserts are available. A cup with screw holes is available for revisions if extra fixation is required. Screw caps are available for unfilled screw holes.

The Allofit socket has an ODEP 5A rating, and was used in less than 1% of implantations in 2011, according to the NJR of England and Wales.

The Surgical Technique can be found here.
