N-butyl cyanoacrylate (NBCA) can be used as a liquid embolic agent when mixed with Lipiodol to make it radio opaque. The ratio affects the polymerisation time. The more lipiodol then the slower the time to solidify and the deeper the vascular penetration generally.

This is a synthetic surgical glue based on cyanoacrylate with the addition of a monomer. It is biodegradable and impermeable to liquids. It seems to be more predictable and easier to use than hystoacryl (monomeric n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate) with less likelyhood of catheter fixation....
