Description

From Which Medical Device

The Mayday Nail is a 2-part intra-medullary device designed for arthrodesis of the knee, where both components are introduced via the knee joint and joined by a locking pin.

Each nail segment may be fixed in the respective medullary canals by means of cross locking screws. Additional fixation may be achieved by hydroxyapatite coating or bone cement.

The Mayday arthrodesis nail has so far been supplied on a custom made basis only. To order, Orthodynamics require AP and lateral x-ray films (preferably scaled), showing at least half of the femur and tibia.
