The system automatically does a 10ml \"purge\" before all injections. This is very useful as it clears sheath and catheters of flashback, which can be a cause of fragmentation of the co2 \"bubble\". If injecting Iodine before co2 injection it can be useful to also so a flush of saline through sheath/catheter which assists this purge and keeps the co2 injection in one clear injection.
