From Which Medical Device

Interventionalists treating patients suffering from Peripheral Vascular Disease in the Superficial Femoral Arteryand Proximal Popliteal Arteries need a flexible stent which is capable of stenting tortuous arteries.

The Gore Tigris Vascular Stent has a dual component design, constructed from a single wire nitinol stent interconnected by a durable, biocompatible, expanded polytetrafluoroethylene structure. According to the manufacturer, the degree of flexibility of the stent enables it to move across tortuous areas of the SFA and PPA and conform more closely to the complex anatomy of the artery.

The stent is approved for endovascular stenting of the peripheral arteries.
