This video shows in detail how to insert the Prostar device in a scarred groin.

The patient has had a fenestrated EVAR device and now requires a limb extension. This was performed purely percutaneously.

The Prostar device is part deployed prior to the limb extension insertion (preclose) then the sutures are finally tightened and tied off on sheath removal.

This device is probably the closure device of choice to use for large vessel closure in the presence of scarring that would make other devices difficult or impossible to use successfully.
