The Split Stream is versatile long term hemodialysis catheter from Medcomp. The kit allows for the tip of the line to be accurately placed prior to tunneling. This may be of particular use for left sided/complex access where tip position is difficult to judge. The line can be placed in the usual fashion through a peelaway sheath but can also be placed over the wire without a sheath simplifying the procedure. The connectors on the line can also be replaced without replacing the whole line similar to the Tessio catheter.
