This video demonstrates an operators point of view of a fistulaplasty and insertion of a covered viabahn stent graft . The patient who was on haemodialysis had a recurrent stenosis of the cephalic arch. Stent grafts slow the rate of recurrence in this situation. The Gore Viabahn is easy to deploy and very flexible. This pseudoaneurysm occured in the mid splenic artery in a patient with chronic pancreatitis. The presence of a cystogastric stent to decompress the pseudocyst led to the presentation with major intermittent haematemesis. We chose to use a Viabahn to preserve the splenic artery. An alternative would have been to exclude the pseudoaneurysm by occluding the artery across/either side of ther neck. Dr Phil Haslam Consultant Interventional Radiologist.
