This is a single centre series of 19 Fixion nailings in 16 patients. The authors report 2 non-unions in 8 primary fracture stabilisations, but all of 5 patients with pathological fractures went on to union.

The authors suggest Fixion nailing is most appropriate for fractures where load is shared between the implant and bone, for example spiral fractures.
