After sheath insertion, the left arm is brought across so that the wrist is approximately over the left groin. This introduces a bend at the left elbow, which may need wire manipulation and screening to pass. It is helpful to pass the 0.35 / 0.38 wire above the straight elbow as soon as the sheath is inserted but before the arm is repositioned across the left groin. That way, the bend at the left elbow has already been overcome and time manipulating the wire is saved.
