This video shows the steps of a ureteric rendezvous we performed for a patient who had had a sigmoid resection for carcinoma during which the ureter was transected resulting in a urine leak and pelvic collection. We used a combined approach from the bladder and left kidney to restore continuity. We encountered a few problems along the way! Dr Phil Haslam, consultant Interventional Radiologist Mr John Fitzpatrick, consultant Urologist
This patient is TPN dependant and had no venous access with SVC occlusion and innonimate vein occlusion. I was asked to place a femoral line. Looking at her CT scan it was apparent that there was a relativley short occlusion that may be crossable. This was achieved with the Outback device and gooseneck snare.
