a curate's egg of a machine

good features:
-fluoroscopy quality and field of view are very good
-cone beam CT quality and field of view
-range of table and C-arm movements both vertically and horizontally
-no ceiling rails directly over table may be beneficial for some open surgery, however the monitors are mounted on rails, as are operating lights and radiation protection screens etc
-patient weight limit for table is high

bad features:
-motorised table movements are sluggish and poor compared to the magnetically locked, floating table of previous generation
-C-arm movements are laggy and unresponsive. Robot movements are broken into individual steps and it can be difficult to identify when the end point is reached.
-It is a difficult and intimidating machine to drive. Radiographer training is much more important than ceiling mounted machines.
-In the parked position the robot arm is large, in the working position it is huge and dominates the room; unlike a ceiling mounted machine where room space is freed when in use
-the accompanying wireless freestyle US has poor image quality and dreadful ergonomics (avoid it)

Overall - the robot feels like a working prototype rather than a finished machine and I much prefer the ceiling mounted systems
