This valve minimises blood loss during vascular procedures and we have also had excellent experience with it during ureteroscopic procedures using high pressure irrigation where we have experienced no leakage of irrigant whilst passing laser fibres and baskets for stone retrieval. Standard valves lead to a soaking for the operator!
