Ellipse ICD receives FDA approval

The Ellipse ICD, manufactured by St. Jude Medical has recently received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The new implantable cardioverter defibrillator is the smallest high-voltage ICD available in the industry and has already been approved by European regulators.
