This patient has a Crohns stricture in the outlet loop of a gastrojejunostomy. There were no surgical options due to multiple previous laparotomies and bowel resections for Crohns. The biodegradabale stent is licenced for use in the oesophagus but there have been reported cases of its successful use in the colon in Crohns disease. This outlet loop was accessed via a gastrostomy performed specifically to place the stent.

How have there been reported cases of its successful without a protocole ?
The only use that can be promoted is in the oesophagus.
