The Baylis Powerwire distrubed in the UK by BVM is an RF enabled wire aimed at helping recanalisation of vessels.

I made this short video to show how it works when I saw it at BSIR 2023.

The wire is connected to a generator and the RF power can then be initiated for short bursts enabling the wire to slowly be advanced through an occlusion.

It will be particularly useful in chronic venous occlusions such as iliac veins, SVC, innonimate veins etc.

There are several different types with varying angles and of course it can go through an angled catheter.

I can think of many alternative uses!
