According to the manufacturer, the device is designed for the percutaneous Aspiration-Thromboembolectomy to ease the removal of thromboembolic material. Like most similar catheters it has a relatively large lumen for its size.

The device features t wo free floating lumens which are independent of each other.  Flow rates are in excess of 450ml/min. A r etrograde insertion allows for accurate distal tip placement. The catheter is also  MRI compatible.
