The AO variable angle locking compression plate (LCP) system for the forefoot and midfoot comprises a series of procedure specific plates for osteotomies, arthrodeses and fractures of the foot. The implants come in stainless steel or titanium, can be used for compression and allow variable angle insertion of screws of up to 15 degrees off axis. To generate compression, compression wires and forceps are supplied.

Plate shapes include L-, T- , cloverleaf and X-shaped fusion plates, MTP and TMT fusion plates and an opening wedge plate.
