I don't have long term outcome data for the cases that I have used this balloon in, but the initial impression is that it is an easy to use system with a good immediate angioplasty result. The majority of the balloons necessitate a 6Fr system, which can sometimes be a hindrance in patients with small access vessels. Published literature appears favourable to support its use as a drug delivery system.

Used on of these in a recurrent venous stenosis associated with a dialysis fistula. Previous subclavian vein stent. These tend to recur rapidly so I have tried this drug coated balloon to hopefully reduce the reintervention rate. Would be interested to know if anyone else has had success in this situation?
