The anaconda is very similar in design to the aorfix stent graft, with some slight variation on how the fixing hooks are placed around the top end. It does not state in its IFU what the uppermost angulation for the neck is (but it was CE marked at 60-65 degrees).
It has a novel way of cannulating the contralateral limb, with the use of a magnet wire - people tend to love it, or hate it! But it does work...
It is not a sheathed system, and we tend to use it with Gore sheaths which works well, to save on repeated trauma to the arteriotomy site.
Repositionability at the top end is very useful.
The graft is secured to the central rod by control loops (which are effectively loops of thread from the graft to the rod) - it is possible to trap your wires through these loops, which can cause problems if not recognised (the company has supplied information on how to deal with this).
It seems to have excellent post deployment sac reduction, and works well within its limitations, as with many of the grafts available.
