The TriboFit is an unusual socket made of a semi-flexible translucent material which is highly hydrophilic and which therefore maintains a layer of fluid around the femoral head. It is said to be associated with almost no wear as there is no physical contact between components. This short video shows the implant and a femoral head placed into a wet acetabulum.
