The INARI ClotTriever is designed for a one-stop acute ilio-femoral or IVC DVT management. The device is very easy to use, requires no lysis or driver/machine outlay and can be performed in some cases as a day-case. The device works simply to core out and capture DVT over a minimum of 4 passes, treat clot of mixed duration, from days to weeks. I have used on acute clot successfully with good clearance and post-procedural IVUS/Venographic appearance. Ihave also treated much older mixed acute on chronic type clot. There are other products that can support such as the Flow Treiver Discs if treating large volume IVC DVT, these act as temporary filters. The device requires the manufacturers sheath, from the Popliteal vein, 13Ch is the smallest but has a reverse basket filter to collect the device in and bring out the DVT through. The large bore side arm allows aspiration of any clot within the sheath. It is my preferred DVT intervention device and many of my colleagues share this view. Very happy to discuss if there are any questions.

This is my go to for DVT, especially in cases like phlegmasia where we want quick restoration of flow. I found it extremely helpful to ballon the mesh component of the sheath upon placement in the vein, made extraction much easier.
