Passing the prepared Sapien XT through the expandable E-Sheath may be difficult, especially with larger prosthesis sizes and smaller iliacs.

In these instances, passage is often much easier with the balloon locked in the \"negative\" position with suction applied. The balloon will be handed to the operator in the \"neutral\" position, but removal of the small amount of dead space can help device transit.
